VSCO -nimistä sovellusta feedin suunnitteluun, mutta sen sovelluksen uudistumisen myötä, joka teki tämän mahdottomaksi, oon kokeillut muutamia erilaisia sovelluksia ja tapoja suunitella feediä ennen kuvien postaamista Instagramiin. I know that this isn't for everyone, but for me, planning my Instagram feed is a thing that I'm specific about and I make an effort for. I'm sure that there are people like me on the other side of the screens right now! I used to use VSCO app for planning my feed, but since it had an update, which made this impossible, I've tried different kinds of apps and methods of planning my feed before posting the photos to Instagram. Today I'll share two of the best apps I tried, Preview and Unum!
Sovellukset, joista tänään kerron teille on siis Preview ja Unum. Löysin itseasiassa Unumin ensin ja käytin sitä pitkään, mutta se ei ollut ihan täydellinen, joten jatkoin täydellisen sovelluksen etsintää ja löysin Previewin hetki sitten. Täydellinen sekään ei ole, joten kerron tänään molempien ominaisuuksista ja sitten jokainen voi valita, kumpaa tykkää käyttää!
Molemmista sovelluksista löytyy kuitenkin ainakin mulle ne tärkeimmät ominaisuudet. Saan yhdistettyä sovellukset mun Instagram -tiliin niin, että se näyttää muutamat viimeisimmät postaukset, eikä mun tarvitse ladata niitä erikseen, kun alan sovellusta käyttämään. Lisäksi molemmissa pystyn vetämään ja siirtämään kuvia edes takaisin. Tällä tavalla on helppo miettiä kuvien järjestystä ja kokeilla erilaisia tapoja.
The apps that I'm going to be talking about today are Preview and Unum. I actually found Unum first and used it for a long time, but since it wasn't quite perfect I kept looking for the perfect app and found Preview a while ago. It isn't perfect either, so I'll just tell you about both of them and then you can just decide, which one you'd prefer!
Both of the apps have the two features that are the most important to me. I can connect the apps with my Instagram account so that it shows my most recent posts and I don't have to upload them to the app when I start using it. In addition to that, both apps allow me to drag and drop photos. This way I can easily try different orders of the photos.

Aviaryn kuvaunmuokkausohjelma. Käytän tätä kuvanmuokkausohjelmaa muutenkin kaikkien Instagram kuvieni editoimiseen, mutta teen sen yleensä jo ennen kuin lataan kuvat näihin sovelluksiin.
Both apps also include Aviary's photo editing program. I use this program anyways to edit all of my Instagram photos, but I usually already do it before I upload my photos to these apps.
Molemmissa sovelluksissa on mahdollista kirjoittaa captionit valmiiksi ja ajastaa postauksia. Unum on kuitenkin edelleen beta-versio ja mun kokemuksen mukaan ainakin toi on jotenkin hankalaaa eikä ihan täysin toimi ainakaan vielä siinä sovelluksessa. Tiedän kyllä että sovellusta kehitetään koko ajan, mutta ainakin nyt tämä hoituu kätevämmin Previewillä (kuvassa).
Both apps allow me to write the captions in advance and schedule my posts. Unum however is still a beta version and as far as I'm concerned it's kinda difficult and doesn't fully work in that app. I do know that they are constantly improving that app, but as for now, it is a lot easier to do this in Preview (in the photo).
Unumista löytyy monia sellaisia ominaisuuksia, joita Previewissä ei ole, tosin en näitä ominaisuuksia juuri kyllä tarvitsekaan. Kollaasin ekassa kuvassa näkyy, että pystyn tekemään kaksi eri versiota feedistäni ja vaihtamaan niiden välillä. Mä en ole tätä kyllä kertaakaan käyttänyt, mutta joku teistä voi kokea tämän hyväksi ominaisuudeksi.
Unumilla pystyy myös tekemään yhdestä kuvasta yhdeksän kuvaa, jotka postaat Instagramiin järjestyksessä ja kuva näkyy sitten isona feedissäsi. Mä en tätäkään ominaisuutta käytä ja näiden tekemiseen löytyy kyllä muitakin sovelluksia.
Viimeisenä kuitenkin yksi ominaisuus, jota kaipaisin Previewiinkin. Unumiin pystyn lisäämään ilmaiseksi useampia tilejä ja suunnitelemaan näin kaikkien tilien feedit. Mulla on kuitenkin kaksi omaa tiliä käytössä sekä työpaikkani tili, jota päivittelen. Usean feedin suunnittelu on mahdollista myös Previewillä, mutta siitä joutuu maksamaan vajaan kympin verran.
Unum has a lot of features, that Preview doesn't. However, I at least don't really even use these features. In the first photo of the collage you can see that I can make two different versions of my feed and switch between them. I've never used this feature, but some of you might find it useful.
Unum also makes it possible to turn one photo into nine photos, which you then post to Instagram in an order and then the photo is one big photo on your feed. I don't use this feature either and there are a lot of other apps to do this as well.
Lastly there is a feature that I wish Preview also had. In Unum, I can add multiple accounts for free and plan the feeds of all my accounts. I have two accounts of my own and I also manage my workplace's account. It is possible to plan multiple feeds also in Preview, but you have to pay a bit less than 10 euros for it.
Löysin Previewistä yhden ominaisuuden, mitä Unumissa ei ole. Previewistä löytyy VSCO -tyylisiä filttereitä kuville. Osa niistä on maksullisia, mutta ilmaisistakin filttereistä löysin kyllä joitakin tosi kivoja, joita varmasti tuun joskus käyttämään!
All in all, mun lempparisovellus näistä kahdesta tällä hetkellä on Preview. Unumissa on yksi iso ongelma, joka varmasti on kyllä vain beta-version ongelma ja korjaantuu ajallaan. Tämä ongelma on kuvien katoaminen.
Suunnittelen feediäni, postaan kuvan tai pari, poistan Unumista kuvia, joita en halunnutkaan käyttää ja järjestelen muutaman kuvan valmiiksi, jotka suunnittelen postaavani huomenna. Kuitenkin jos oon sulkenut sovelluksen ja kun avaan sen huomenna, kuvien järjestys on ihan eri, poistamani kuvat on ilmestyneet takaisin ja jotkin sinne jätttämäni kuvat on kadonneet. Tätä ongelmaa ei Previewissä ole. Jos tämä ongelma korjaantuu Unumissa, niin sitten kyllä vaihdan varmaan takaisin sen käyttämiseen!
I found one feature in Preview that Unum doesn't have. Preview has these VSCO -style filters for you photos. Some of them you need to pay for, but I found some really pretty ones from the free filters as well!
All in all, my current favorite app of the two is Preview. Unum has one big problem that I think is just a problem of the beta version and they'll fix it later. The problem is this situation, where my photos just disappear from the app.
I plan my feed, post a photo or two, delete some photos from Unum that I ended up not wanting to use and then I organize some photos ready for me to just post tomorrow. However, if I have closed the app and then open it again tomorrow, the order of the photos is completely different, the photos I deleted have come back and some of the photos I left there have disappeared. Preview doesn't have this problem. If they fix this problem in Unum, I'll switch back to using it!
